“Lilly of the Valley Inspires French Literature and Sheer Heart Attack”


Yours is an internal life, though not necessarily a quiet one – your creativity, independence, and ruthless intellect usually proves a force to be reckoned with for those standing on the outside.


In fact, did you know your flower, the Lily of the Valley, not only inspired Freddie Mercury’s Queen song on Sheer Heart Attack but was also the inspiration for French novelist and playwright Honore de Balzac’s Le Lys dans la Vallée (1835).  Balzac’s is a story about love and French society and how they affect a painfully unconsummated love affair between two sadly tortured people; and what about Freddie Mercury’s tribute to the flower?—he showed us heartbreak in away we found profoundly beautiful.


Gemini, you are a complicated soul.  But February will be relatively easy-going, so take advantage of it! The beginning of the month might deliver some unexpected good financial news – a bonus, a raise, a gift.  On the 6th with the New Moon in Aquarius, your spirit for travel and adventure will be high, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t take a short trip somewhere to get away from the wintry cold!  The only time this month that will be difficult is the period around the 20th when the Full Moon in Virgo.  You will find it difficult to balance career and home, but there’s no need to worry because your friends and family will be there to help if you ask.
