Plaster of Paris

Cuban actress Eva Mendes tells Page Six that her new role as a jewel thief in the upcoming movie “The Spirit” has caused her to become obsessed with pricey gems in real life. Mendes believes that by getting to the core of this character’s character, so to speak, she developed a lingering taste for expensive baubles.  Might we apply this same bit of reasoning to Paris Hilton after her turn in the 2005 (remade) horror flick, "House of Wax?"  Did Paris launch herself so deep into her role as a ditzy young tart, waxed-to-death in a shopping mall, that she has been unable to shake free from this mold (sorry) ever since?
