Color Counting Sheep with Madonna

Animal rights crazies are upchucking their kibble at a photo spread of Madonna's and Director hubby Guy Ritche's English country house in Vogue Living.  It seems the age-defying Material Girl had the property's naturally-grazing snow-white sheep dyed varying bright shades --pink, blue, and yellow--for the shoot.  While the Desperately Seeking Susan star insists the dye is non-toxic and will wash out in a few days (Russian leaders said the same after Chernobyl), animal lovers are still up-in-arms, worrying that turning livestock into a Benneton ad will become a globe-wide fad.  While looking like a wooly popsickle might not be the most pleasant thing for a sheep, at least they were not forcefully subjected to watching the couple's lone cinematic collaboration, Swept Away.  The 2002 flick lensed by Ritchie and starring Madonna is considered to be one of the worst movies eve r made.  It received seven Razzie Award nominations, winning five including Worst Actress for Madonna.  Having to sit through this film is surely cruel and unusual punishment for either man or (colorized) beast.
