Gene Simmons Apparently Knows A Lot About Hookers

According to the news on KISS frontman Gene Simmons' personal website  www.genesimmons.com, Gene has had his hands full recently, and not just with guitar strings...

"I'm up to my neck writing my next book: LADIES OF THE NIGHT -- A HISTORICAL AND PERSONAL OVERVIEW OF THE OLDEST PROFESSION on our SIMMONS BOOKS/PHOENIX BOOKS imprint. It should be finished by Spring."

Wait a minute.  I thought most guys started rock bands in order to get laid?   Doesn't paying for hookers kinda defeat the whole purpose?  Shouldn't this book be written by some D&D-playing obese IT guy who lives in his parents' basement?  Was KISS really that bad at picking up chicks that Gene inadvertently became an expert on prostitution? 

Okay fine, who am I kidding?  I'm just jealous because the manuscript for my own historical and personal overview of the oldest profession has yet to be purchased.  Hey, at least I've got an excuse...my band isn't popular.
