The Canadian songstress has reached the ripe old age of 34. According to her interview in Women’s Health magazine, she isn’t afraid of aging. In fact, when Morisette participated in a triathlon, she commented: “It was amazing to use my body as an instrument rather than an ornament.” Isn’t singing the ultimate use of the body as an instrument, or does she think her good looks overpower her singing?
She also stated that competing in the triathlon isn’t her only goal in life. She would like to live in the middle of nowhere for a while – like a forest or an ocean bluff. There she wouldn’t have to worry about being an ornament at all. No one would see her and she could sing at the top of her lungs. When she would emerge, her body would be fully unfolded and she would fly out in the grace of her old age, revealing her true colors too dull for the Christmas tree.
